Canmore Engagement Photos | Joran & Carolyn

It was a bitterly cold day in Canmore for Joran & Carolyn’s engagement photos. We went to the lovely Quarry Lake and to the Canmore Engine Bridge (built in 1892). Carolyn is a talented seamstress, she made the fabulous green coat she is wearing in these photos. I’m so glad these two were able to stand the cold, we had snow up to our knees and my glasses were fogging up like crazy — it’s not the most fun shooting around -15. Here are a few of the photos we took for their engagement session:

So looking forward to doing your wedding photography in Calgary in May! Thank you so much for tromping around in the snow with me.

  1. C & J…………
If I had to pick my fav, the bridge one, for sure…..and your ring in the tree.
Also, your green coat is to die for, love the color.
Really looking forward to the wedding!

  2. What great photos! You guys look so happy you can’t tell that it is -15 at all. Green looks amazing on you Carolyn.

  3. From Frank:
Joran: the ring is supposed to go on Carolyn’s finger, not the tree…unless you are marrying the tree 🙂

  4. These are awesome. You two are such a beautiful couple! Well done with the coat Carolyn. Well done with the ring Joran!

  5. Lovely setting, lovely couple, lovely photos. Congratulations on your engagement, Carolyn and Joran from Jane & Geoff

  6. Gorgeous pictures! You two are very photogenic… And the scenery didn’t hurt either! We are both fans of the bridge picture, and love the colour of your coat Carolyn 🙂

  7. Lucky you having Rockies as the backdrop. Makes for great environmental portraits. Well done.
