Mary & Leo | Calgary Couples Photography

I have been fortunate to do family photos for this wonderful couple three times now! We focused on mom & dad this time a bit after getting some pictures of the kids, since they have recently celebrated their tenth anniversary — congratulations, you two. The weather forecast (always a popular topic of mine) called for a really crummy and cold afternoon, so we started indoors and did not expect to be able to go outside at all. But the surprise sunshine was too hard to resist, and we zipped down the road for a last few outdoors during sunset. It truly has been a great autumn in Calgary, and much to my surprise the leaves remain on the trees as I write this. It’s supposed to frost tonight, so this may be my last fall session of the year — at least with yellow leaves! I wanted to share just a few photos, quickly. For these first two photos, the setting sun hit the red leaves of the tree in the background for perhaps thirty seconds, giving them that sparkly glow long enough for a few shots. I love when the light cooperates!
