Kelowna Ukrainian Orthodox Church | Delta Grand Okanagan Resort Wedding Reception
Elizabeth & Bojan’s wedding was a fantastic mix of Spanish and Serbian traditions. The ceremony was at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church here in Kelowna, and the wedding reception was held at the beautiful Delta Grand Okanagan Hotel ballroom, which was decorated with crystals, drapery, and beautiful super-tall centrepieces.
The lovely church was packed full, but I was incredibly thankful for it being air conditioned on such a super hot July day. I’m sure all of the guests were, too! This is the part of the wedding ceremony where the couple walks around the altar three times:
I really love the look of a white wedding bouquet with hints of green peeking through, and the stems wrapped with fuschia ribbon were an extra nice touch.
The father and daughter dance was absolutely amazing. It started off like most, with slower music, being a quiet moment between a girl and her dad.
But then, BOOM! The music changed to something much more energetic, and these two went into a completely choreographed dance routine all of the guests were thrilled to watch. And it wasn’t a quick little number, either. These two danced their hearts out, in perfect step with each other. They had MOVES. It was such a treat to watch!
I was second shooting this wedding for the fabulous Margot Thornton Photography. Thanks for inviting me to photograph with you!
