A beautiful Calgary winter wedding, featuring Gasoline Alley pictures at Calgary’s Heritage Park — we were so lucky to have sunny and warm weather for Tanya and Tim’s big day. We had a fabulous backdrop for the photography in and around Heritage Park with all of the snow and sunshine. Early February can be brutally cold in Southern Alberta but not this weekend. Their wedding ceremony was at Bethel United Reformed Church in the SW, and the reception was at Gunn’s Dairy Barn in Heritage Park. It was really sweet how both the Bride and Groom’s families said, in their speeches, how well-matched these two are. I could definitely see that when they were together, too. I met Tanya first and she and I chatted for ages — we clicked right away and she reminds me so much of a close friend of mine.

The wedding ceremony isn’t as exciting for little ones…

After the ceremony we headed to Heritage Park for photos before the reception. If it had been colder, Gasoline Alley would have been the perfect place to take photos out of the weather — even with great weather it was still amazing. It’s such a fun spot, I love the signage, antique gas pumps and classic cars. They’re great for cuddling in…

I just loved Tanya’s bouquet, with succulents, cymbidium orchids, and roses, and in such cheerful colours that were reflected throughout the wedding. Greens, pinks, peach, aqua… cheerful, fresh colours work any time of year.
