Sameera and Asif had a two-day wedding — on the first day, there was a ceremony and a dinner reception, and on day 2 was the party! We took a few moments to shoot some portraits on each day, and it was a treat to photograph both of Sameera’s beautiful dresses. It was my first Muslim wedding as a Calgary wedding photographer, so there were some different traditions from the ceremonies I am used to photographing. But the nervousness, planning, family, and love was all the same.

Sameera described herself as being of “mixed cultural background (Pakistani-Iranian)”, and that Asif from a Pakistani background. She also described herself and her fiance as Canadian outdoor and nature enthusiasts! These two were super cute together, and obviously a very in love and wonderful match.
