Announcement: PPOC Accreditation | Wedding Environmental Photography

I am very pleased to announce that as of today, I am an accredited professional photographer! I just received my accreditation from the PPOC (Professional Photographers of Canada) in the category of Wedding Environmental and am pretty thrilled about it. From ppoc.ca:

An Accredited member of PPOC is a specialist in his or her chosen field of photography. Accreditation demonstrates that the photographer is capable of delivering image excellence and sets them apart as being industry leaders in a chosen category.
An accreditation is achieved by submitting ten samples of the applicant’s photography to a PPOC Board of Review. In assessing Accreditation Submissions, the judges consider the following criteria: Impact, Creativity, Style, Composition, Presentation, Color Balance, Centre of Interest, Lighting, Subject Matter, Quality, Technique, Story Telling.

It’s really important to me to continue learning and growing as an artist, and within the last year I joined the PPOC — to learn, to grow, and to connect with other professionals. I’ve been working on earning my accreditation for a while, and it is an honour to be recognized by our national association. I owe many thanks to Mark Laurie for his mentorship and guidance. Thanks, Mark! Now I have to figure out which category to tackle for my next accreditation.

Here are my ten accepted images:

Thank you also to my many wonderful clients for providing me with such stellar subject matter. I am very grateful to you all.
