The Cochrane RancheHouse in Cochrane is an extremely beautiful wedding venue. So close to Calgary (especially on a clear day) you get a lovely view of the mountains in the distance. I really enjoyed being Catherine and Kevin’s wedding photographer for this early fall wedding. They had a really relaxed, wonderful day with a lot of special moments. Here are a few of their wedding pictures!

We shot a few inside the RancheHouse while everyone was getting ready

Tamara Jones was the officiant, she does wonderful ceremonies that are just the right combination of sweet and not long-winded.

The Cochrane Ranche House has really done the outdoor ceremony area right. There’s a level floor-like pad that chairs can stand on, and high heels won’t sink into. The ceremony area overlooks a stunning view of the valley, and the building provides privacy. It’s so pretty and I love shooting there.

Both the bride and groom’s moms did sweet readings during the ceremony. Lots of misty eyes.

Loved these celebratory hand-made flag signs for the wedding ceremony, what a cute detail!

The fall leaves were just starting at this point, there were a few hints of colour here and there to be found for wedding photos.

You don’t have to go far at all to find an incredible variety of areas to photograph in at the Cochrane Ranche… can you tell I love it?

What a pretty colour palette, it was nice to see something cheerful and bright in the fall, like a last little burst of summer amongst the changing leaves and brown/orange shades.

There was a series of incredible, touching speeches, and Catherine’s Dad especially had a heartfelt, amazing speech that I heard so many people talk about afterwards. Just beautiful.
